I Am Tired Of Being Lied To, How About You?
I am starting to believe that there are fewer and fewer honest folks as each day passes. Maybe the world of politics and the antics of our supposed “leaders” have lead to the loss of a moral compass for more and more of the “plain folks”. We can only hope and pray that the silent majority will wake up and use their collective powers as voters, consumers and protectors of the innocent to put a stop to all the nonsense.
We have all come to expect the worst from our public officials, they have consistently failed to perform their sworn duties in every way imaginable, leading this once revered country into physical, economic and moral decay. Physical, as evidenced by the failing infrastructure with collapsing bridges, derailed trains, pot hole riddled roadways, broken levees leading to wholesale flooding and contamination of precious water supplies, while Congress “earmarks” millions upon millions for “pork”, like roads and bridges to “nowhere” and control towers at rural “dust cropper” airports, to name just two. Economic, requires no delineation, we are all painfully aware of the government “bailouts” of the mortgage related financial institutions as well as the automobile industry, and the devastating effects it has had on employment and retail sales. Moral decay is evident in the “sweetheart deals” given to and accepted by our protective overseers of banking regulations like Senator Dodd and Congressman Frank along with the hollow promises of transparency in government issued by President Obama that have never materialized.
It should be no surprise then to find that there are scam artists preying on newbies to e-commerce enterprises. I got stung, big-time, by a self proclaimed guru of internet marketing who outgrew his ability to provide the promised services to his clients, and opted to just disappear. That does not mean that there are no legitimate business opportunities on the internet, it just means that those seeking opportunities must exercise caution. My original foray into the online world was just to vent my frustration about the way things were/are going in the form of a blog. As I got more involved I decided to try and actually do some good by sharing my experiences and giving advice to newbies.
There are some excellent opportunities available online but none that really live up to their hype! Why do so many of these marketers think they have to oversell (lie about) their products? Don’t we get enough of that from our public officials? I am tired of being lied to, how about you? Unfortunately, I don’t think it is going to get better anytime soon. I was hopeful when I heard Barack’s campaign speeches about transparency in government and restoring integrity in his administration, only to have those hopes crushed when he had the audacity to publicly praise Congress for passing a budget that is free of pork , when in fact it contained 890+ earmarked items of questionable value to anyone except special interest groups. What an insult to the American public’s collective intelligence! Talk about being lied to, WOW!
I have taken an oath to be as open and straight with my advice as I can possibly be. So, please explore the other pages on my website, Phil’s Success Strategy, and let me know what you think.
